The department responded to a report of wires down. Investigation found several wires down and in roadway. WMECO notified.

The department responded to a report of wires down at Amherst Rd. & N. Valley Rd. Unfounded, Amherst Police reported the down wires are on Pelham Rd. in Amherst.

The department responded to medical, motor vehicle accidents and several weather related incidents throughout the evening.

The department responded for a report of a tree on power lines and sparking. Investigation found same. Electric company responded and matter was addressed.
Time of Call: 3:40pm on October 15th, 2011
The department responded for power lines and trees down. Ivestigation found same. WMECO responded and addressed power line. Firefighters removed the fallen tree. Roadway reopened at 6:00pm.
The fire station was staffed during Hurricane Irene. Although the town experienced some trees and power lines down the preplanning of town officials, fire, police and highway department’s and the cooperative efforts during the storm made for a positive outcome.

The department responded to the corner of Jones Rd. and Amherst Rd. for reported wires down. Investigation found telephone wire down across Jones Rd. Wire removed, phone company notified.
Time of Call: 5:37pm on June 9th, 2011
The department responded for a report of power lines down. Upon arrival found same. WMECO electric notified, lines repaired and power restored.
