The department responded for a reported blown transformer. Upon arrival found same. Further investigation revealed no power in the area. WMECO notified and arrived on scene.

Reported transformer explosion and power outage. Western Mass. Electric notified, matter addressed, power restored.

The department responded to a carbon monoxide alarm activation. Investigation revealed no readings or hazard. Faulty detector.

The department responded to a fire alarm activation. Investigation found no one at residence, no alarm sounding and no cause found.

The department responded to a North Valley Rd. residence for report of an odor of gas inside and residents feeling ill.
Gas detectors were used to find a cause. The gas company was called to the scene along with an electrician.
Time of Call: 12:30am on January 21st 2010
The department was dispatched to N. Valley road for a reported vehicle fire. Crews arriving on scene extinguished a fully involved Mitsubishi Eclipse. No occupant or owners were located. Subsequently the fire is considered suspicious.

Time of Call: 6:41pm on January 8th 2010
The department responded to 6 King Street for a reported stove fire. The fire was due to a malfunctioning pellet stove. Fire personnel extinguished the fire and cleared all smoke from the building.

The department responded to the area of the Old General Store on Rt. 202 at Shutesbury Rd. for a reported structure fire. Units arriving on scene found nothing showing and determined it to be an unfounded report.
Time of Call: 2:34pm on January 6th 2010
The department responded to report of a large outdoor fire in the area of 27 Harkness Rd. The illegal brush fire was extinguished by fire personnel. The homeowner was advised of fines for subsequent offenses.
The Pelham police department also assisted at this incident.
Time of Call: 5:20pm on December 10th 2009
The department was dispatched to 199 N. Valley Rd. for report of a carbon monoxide alarm sounding. Fire dept. personnel tested the air with a metering device and found normal levels. The problem was determined to be a faulty detector.
The Pelham Police Dept. also assisted at this incident.
