The fire station was staffed during Hurricane Irene. Although the town experienced some trees and power lines down the preplanning of town officials, fire, police and highway department’s and the cooperative efforts during the storm made for a positive outcome.

The department responded to a residence for a female party with general weakness. The patient was transported to Cooley Dickinson Hospital by Amherst Fire Dept. Ambulance.

The department responded to a report of a small fire under a vehicle. Upon arrival found fire extinguished. Investigation revealed that fluids had dripped onto the vehicle exhaust pipe causing the small fire.

The department responded to a reported rubbish fire and smoke in the area. Investigation found smoke was result of a outside furnace unitĀ in use.

The department responded to theĀ corner of Jones Rd. and Amherst Rd. for reported wires down. Investigation found telephone wire down across Jones Rd. Wire removed, phone company notified.

The department responded to a residence for a male party with tightness in chest. The patient was transported to Cooley Dickinson Hospital by Amherst Fire Dept. Ambulance.
