The department responded for a reported motor vehicle into a telephone pole. Upon arrival found a pick-up truck sheared off a utility pole taking down wires. The operator was out of the vehicle and was transported to Cooley Dickinson Hospital by Amherst Fire Dept. Ambulance.

The department along with Amherst Fire Dept. Ambulance responded to a report of a motor vehicle rollover. Upon arrival found vehicle off the road and on it’s side. The operator was out of the vehicle and refused medical treatment.

The department responded to a residence for a gas stove left on accidentally for over 10 minutes with a strong odor of gas in the house. The home was ventilated and no other concerns noted.

The department responded into the Quabbin Reservoir at Gate 12 for a male party who fainted while hiking. The patient was transported to Cooley Dickinson Hospital by Amherst Fire Dept. Ambulance.

The department responded to a residence for a carbon monoxide detector alarm. Upon arrival firefighter’s took meter readings and no CO was detected or illness reported.

The department along with department’s from Amherst, Hadley, Northampton, Pelham Police, and state police responded to a report of a female party that had fallen from a cliff on the Amethyst Brook Trail. Amherst Paramedic on scene comfirmed the death of the hiker.
