The department responded to a Buffam Rd. residence for a female patient with post-surgery pain. The patient was transported to Cooley-Dickinson hospital by Amherst Fire Dept. paramedics.

The department assisted a resident at 49 Amherst Rd. who had a flooded basement due to a boiler malfunction. Fire personnel helped remove the water and instructed the homeowner to contact the heating company immediately.

The fire dept. was dispatched to the area of Amherst Rd. at upper N. Valley Rd. for report of a car accident. Personnel arriving on scene confirmed one vehicle off the road and a single patient complaining of neck pain.
The Pelham Police and Amherst Fire Dept. paramedics also assisted at this incident.
Time of Call: 5:20pm on December 10th 2009
The department was dispatched to 199 N. Valley Rd. for report of a carbon monoxide alarm sounding. Fire dept. personnel tested the air with a metering device and found normal levels. The problem was determined to be a faulty detector.
