The department was dispatched to an Arnold Rd. residence where home heating oil had spilled into an adjacent stream. DEM & DEP notified. Fire personnel contained the spill using absorbent materials.

The department responded to a Harkness Rd. residence for report of a female with difficulty breathing. The patient was transported to Cooley Dickinson Hospital by the Amherst Fire Dept.

The department responded to a Jones Rd. residence for a 27-year-old female with shortness of breath. The patient was transported to Cooley-Dickinson Hospital by the Amherst Fire Department.

The department was dispatched to an Daniel Shays Highway residence for a female experiencing pain for a fall the day before. The Amherst Fire Department responded with an ambulance and transported the patient to Cooley-Dickinson Hospital.

As a result of the ice storm on December 12th 2008…
A large tree limb was blocking the road at 180 Daniel Shays Highway. Fire personnel cut the tree up and removed it from the roadway.

The department was dispatched to Packardville Rd. for report of a lost cross-country skier. The Pelham Police Dept. located the individual and canceled the fire response.

The department was dispatched to an Amherst Rd. residence where a 37-year-old female had broken her toe. The patient was transported to Cooley-Dickinson Hospital by the Amherst Fire Dept.

The department was dispatched to an Amherst Rd. residence for a 17-year-old male having medical issues. The Amherst Fire Department responded with an ambulance but no transport was necessary.
